I had a fantastic stay at Atalaya in San Jose. The location was perfect, with easy access to beautiful beaches and great restaurants right across the street. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, with excellent craftsmanship evident throughout. I loved the peaceful inner courtyard, where the sound of the fountains added a lovely touch to my afternoon siestas. Atalaya provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I highly recommend it.

The hotel is located in a picturesque town with unspoilt beaches, renowned for its arts and crafts, summer festivals, and folklore. During my stay, I had the opportunity to visit the local crafts market and witness the amazing skills of the artisans. It was like stepping into a magical world of creativity and talent.

Breakfast was not served in the hotel.

It was fine for what it was, a cheapish place to stay for the weekend to see the Cabo de Gata park. Closeby there was horse-riding which was fabulous and we climbed a few hills nearby and soaked in some beautiful views. The breakfast was included but was just coffee and toast, great coffee though.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the guys running the place were pretty quiet as far as helping you out with what to do in the area. Pleasant enough though.

This hotel is the perfect place for teenagers like us who love adventure and excitement! We had a blast exploring the beautiful surroundings and trying out the thrilling activities available. From horse riding to snorkeling and diving, there was never a dull moment. We even discovered the area's water adventures with scuba diving nearby! The hotel's location allowed us to easily access all these fun-filled activities, making our vacation truly memorable.

If there's one thing we wished for, it would have been a lively and vibrant nightlife scene. As young party-goers, we would have loved to have more options for nighttime entertainment.

The room at Hotel Atalaya was so cozy and comfortable with the perfect temperature! I loved having the air conditioning and heating, it made me feel right at home. Plus, the TV and private bathroom were great additions. it was a relaxing stay!

Although the bright, tiled floors in the room were nice, I personally didn't really enjoy the TV as much. But hey, that's just my taste and others might still enjoy it!

The staff were absolutely amazing, especially the maintenance man! He spoke perfect English, was super friendly, and always had a smile on his face. I chose Hotel Atalaya because I wanted to visit Cala de los Amarillos. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities offered by the hotel. The Café-Bar not only served a wide selection of traditional dishes but also offered a light aperitif during the day. It was a great addition to my stay and provided a convenient and enjoyable dining experience.

Room temperature was an issue. Despite being in February, the room was exceptionally cold at night.

I love sitting in the front brown earth garden, enjoying a drink before heading out for dinner. The location is so close to the beach and there's even a cafe over the road for breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a TV and a little sitting area.
